2019 Holiday Window
Meet Anoona Danai ("All Seeing & Loving Each Other")
,Did you know? In Zimbabwe, $6.00 will feed a child a hot meal every day for a month. Zimbabwe is facing its most devastating drought in forty years. Since 2011 there has been unreliable rainfall and there has been little to no food for both people and livestock.
Julie, one of our owners, traveled to Zimbabwe in August and had the opportunity to visit St. Joseph’s school in the Tsholostsho communal lands. The children were so full of joy and laughter. Many of them walk miles to school each day. For many, the only meal of their day is provided by the school.
The safari group began the feeding program when they realized concentration and performance in the classroom was poor because the children were exhausted from hunger and falling asleep in school. Zimbabwe is facing 94% unemployment rate and it is so important to help the next generation have a chance to change their circumstances with education.
If you would like to help, we are taking donations at our front desk for the St. Joseph school. Our sweet elephant is also up for auction with all monies going to the school as well. 100% of the donations will directly reach the children. Thank you for your interest.
