Leigh Standley has been creating whimsical and witty sketches since at least the seventh grade where she got poor marks in math class for doodling. She has lived in Boston for the past nine years and only "occasionally wishes it were Paris." Her inspirational sayings and bright images can be seen in galleries across the country. Leigh's "Tiara" card won the 2006 Louie Award for best Friendship card. At the Curly Girl Studio they believe "that hot chocolate should be served with whipped cream, bathtubs were built for bubbles and wine tastes better with friends. That flip flops go with everything, glasses should be half-full and that it is our responsibility to teach peace and send love."
Gorgeous papers from around the world serve as covers for Lisa Norris' beautiful hand bound journals and albums. In her studio in Chattanooga, Tennessee, each book is built by hand. The inside pages are ripped, covers glued, signatures sewn and each book is finished with ribbons and vintage "doo-dads." Lisa's albums have appeared in Lucky magazine, Traditional Home, Women's Day Special Scrapbook edition, Country Living, In-style Home, and have even found their way into Pre-Oscar gift baskets.
April began by selling her albums and frames at the Ann Arbor Artisan Market. Since her designs were such a hit, she decided to start her own company. Her work is now featured in galleries and stores across the country. She likes creating beautiful everyday items with combinations of bright papers, ribbons and findings: pairing vibrant colors and rich textures.
